Placement cell plays important role for an institution to give their students the best chance of grabbing the opportunities that are offered, before they are out of the college. The cell was set up at “SMVMP” shortly after starting its service in the area, for which placement officer was appointed to take charge of all the activities of recruitment.,
The main aim of Placement Cell at “SMVMP” is not only to update students with latest jobs offers from different industries, but also included “training” as another important weapon to help the students to come out in flying colors. English Language experts are invited on regular basis to conduct special training sessions for students that include boosting the confidence level, making them understand the importance of communication and soft skills. Industry Experts are also invited specifically to give complete overview and more exposure about the live experience that each student would require while they are placed in a company.
The students of this Polytechnic are well absorbed by many Industrial giants like M/s L&T, I.T.C Ltd., NFCL, NCC, Andhra Sugars Ltd., Andhra Petrochemicals Ltd., ITC, Bhadrachalam (Paper Boards Division), Divis Lab, Dr.Reddys Lab, TVS Lucents Ltd., IVRCL.Sneider Electric Co.,etc., through Campus Interviews.Apart from the academic works Government of Andhra Pradesh sanctioned ‘RAJIV UDYOGA SRI’ for Vocational Education & Training programs are being conducted successfully.Scheme of Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP)) during this year 2009-2010 was sanctioned by Govt of India for implementation.
